1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Vent ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Vent. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. Anonymous Use

Vent is designed for anonymous expression. You agree not to intentionally reveal your own or others' identities, and not to use the platform to target, harass, or identify any individual.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or hateful
  • Share explicit, violent, or sexually graphic content
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Spam, advertise, or solicit other users
  • Attempt to bypass moderation or safety systems
  • Share personal information (yours or others')

5. Content & Expiration

Vents and responses automatically expire after 48 hours. Saved Vault items persist until manually deleted. Journal entries are private and persist indefinitely. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms.

6. Moderation

Vent uses automated moderation to filter harmful content. Responses that violate our guidelines may be blocked or removed. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.

7. Not a Crisis Service

Vent is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you or someone you know is in crisis, please contact a local emergency service or crisis hotline immediately.

8. Intellectual Property

All content you post remains yours. By posting, you grant Vent a non-exclusive license to display it within the App. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute the App or its design.

9. Limitation of Liability

Vent is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including emotional distress from user-generated content.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
